The three-day Dhaka Textile Festival has started in Biratnagar from Thursday. Koshi Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki inaugurated the festival during a ceremony.

After the inauguration, Chief Minister Karki said that the government should invest in the promotion of Nepali products in Dhaka. Chief Minister Karki assured that the budget will be allocated for the further promotion of Dhaka industry in Koshi province in the budget of the next fiscal year 2082/083. For that, he asked for opinions and suggestions about the problems faced by Dhaka industries. 

30 large Dhaka industries of Koshi province have stalled in the festival which started under the organization of Women's Enterprise Committee of Koshi Province Committee of Federation of Nepal Industry and Commerce.

Industrialist Rajendra Raut, Chairman of Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Koshi Province Committee, said that he plans to continue the Dhaka Festival every year.

Saru KC, Chairperson of the Women's Enterprise Committee of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Koshi Province Committee, said that the festival was organized with the aim of providing market to the women entrepreneurs of Koshi Province at Nepal and international level and empowering the Dhaka industry.
