For the financial year 2082/83, the federal government will provide a financial equalization grant of 992.2 million rupees to 9 local levels of Taplejung. The government will provide funds on the recommendation of the National Natural Resources and Finance Commission.
According to the Commission, Fungling Municipality will get the most 146.9 million, while Maivakhola Rural Municipality will get the least 94.44 million. It is mentioned that Sirijanga will get 12 million 78 million, Phattanglung 11 million 33 million, Meringden 10 million 79 million, Sidingwa 10 million 30 million, Pathibhara Yangwarak 10 million 7 million, Atharai Triveni 10 million and Mikwakhola 99 million. Funds are given in three categories namely minimum grant, formula based grant and performance based. Based on
performance, Meringden will receive the highest amount of 58 lakhs . The least Sidingwa will get 39 lakhs . Pathibhara Yangwarak 57, Maivakhola 55, Phaktanglung 50, Atharai Triveni 50, Sirijanga 48 and Mikvakhola will get 4.2 million .
Fungling municipality will get only as much as Sirijanga, i.e. 48 lakhs. If the performance is good, there is a provision to get more subsidy.
