Earlier, the 'No Cable Car Group', which formed only a negotiation coordination committee, has formed a high-level negotiation committee under the coordination of Khagendra Fembu Limbu. The members of the five-member negotiation committee are Shri Prasad Linkhim, Saraswata (Saru) Singak, Dhanraj Limbu and Santosh Mehta.
Fembu is the coordinator of the cable car cancellation joint struggle committee and Linkhim is the coordinator of the Mukkumlung struggle committee. Earlier, the negotiation committee formed by the government had prepared to call them for talks by listing their names. Singak mentions that Mukkumlung Tangsep Chumbo and Dhanraj and Santosh are in the negotiation committee from political parties. Singak was the coordinator of the coordination committee in the previous negotiations.
A statement issued by the agitating group stated that the negotiation team formed by the Ministry of Home Affairs and Mukkumlung Tangsep and the negotiation facilitation team of the inter-party political parties on March 4 agreed to form a high-level negotiation committee. In the statement, 13 Organizations and 11 political parties have signed.
The protesting group has proposed that the construction of the cable car should be cancelled. The participants in the previous talks said that after the government negotiation committee chaired by Prem Prasad Bhattarai, formed by the Ministry of Home Affairs, said that they could not fulfill this demand on their behalf, it was agreed to initiate the formation of a high-level negotiation committee.
