A 75-year-old man died in Atharraitribeni rural municipality-1 Niguradin after he was burnt by fire while burning a shack in his garden. Taplejung district police office said that Surendra Tamang died on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Ravi Rawal, the fire broke out in a bari which was 150 meters away from the house, and while escaping, he fell down seven/eight meters from the bari and died. His legs have been found and burned by fire. 

Rawal has said that a team of police station Niguradin and area police office Dobhan has been mobilized at the scene and the body will be handed over to the family after the post-mortem.
