392 people received treatment in the free eye camp held in Baksila on Wednesday. Organized by Netrajyoti Sangh Khotang and Kepilasgarhi Rural Municipality and with the technical support of Sagarmatha Chaudhary Eye Hospital Lahan, surgery, eye examination, drug treatment, spectacles were distributed in the camp held on 4th, 5th and 6th of Chait.
According to Indra Kasju, president of Netrajyoti Sangh Khotang, 47 people underwent surgery, 310 people were given free medicine, and 34 senior citizens were given free glasses.
According to Kasju, a team of 15 people including Diwakar Chaudhary, Chief Surgeon of Sagarmatha Chaudhary Eye Hospital, Harihar Shrestha, Chief Ophthalmologist of Eye Treatment Center Diktel, treated the camp.
Kasju informed that the camp will be conducted in Diktel on March 9, 10 and 11 and in Halesi Tuwatchung municipality on March 14, 15 and 16. Kasju says that a free eye camp will be conducted in Khotehang in the second phase.
