An elephant was found dead in Jhapa forest on Wednesday evening. The dead body was found in a state of decomposition.

The elephant was found dead in Pathibhara community forest of Kachankawal-7. According to the police, it was difficult to reach the spot because 3-4 elephants were sitting around the dead elephant.

According to the police, the age, gender and cause of death of the elephant have not yet been revealed. So far, the details of whether the dead elephant is adult or chava, male or female have not been confirmed.
