Under the leadership of Tilkumar Jogi, President of the Nepal Students Union, Pathibhara Multipurpose Campus has unanimously elected an independent student union. The campus election committee said that after only one nomination was registered for 8 members including three office bearers on Tuesday, there was a unanimous vote.
Union's Lakshman Poudel of Aneraswaviyu has been nominated as the secretary and Nikita Limbu of Akhil Krantikari as the treasurer. Election committee coordinator Yuvraj Basnet informed that the nomination papers of Saugat Bista of Navy Sangh, Shantila Gurung and Sujan Limbu of Akhil Krantikari and Sanuja Gautam and Vinu Tamang of Aneraswaviyu have been registered for five members.
Now seven members will be elected proportionally. Basnet said that the student organization has submitted a closed list for proportionality and the election will be opened within seven days as per the schedule. Basnet said, "There are remaining programs for the election, including protest, and the process will proceed accordingly," Basnet said, "There is no need to hold the election on Chait 5."
