Whip of ruling party, warning of boycott by opposition

Prime Minister Oli will address the Koshi Provincial Assembly today

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is addressing the Koshi State Assembly on Tuesday afternoon. According to the Provincial Assembly Secretariat, the program of Prime Minister Oli's address at the Provincial Assembly meeting on Tuesday at 2 pm has been decided.

The ruling parties UML and Congress have issued whips to their MPs to listen to Prime Minister Oli's speech.

UML instructed all 40 MPs to attend the parliamentary party meeting on Monday. Nepali Congress has also instructed its 29 MPs to attend the meeting. According to Chief Whip Gopal Tamang, the Congress issued the whip in view of the Prime Minister's speech. 

Meanwhile, the opposition parties have warned to boycott the Prime Minister's address. They have accused the government of failing to address the issues raised in the parliament and trying to bypass the parliament. 

Prime Minister Oli will fly from Kathmandu in a helicopter at 10:30 am on Tuesday.  

He will go directly to Purvanchal University Gothgaon Morang. As the chancellor of the university at 11:45 am, he will also inaugurate the academic building of Girija Prasad College of Agricultural Research and the academic building of Purvanchal University College of Health and Science built in the university premises. 

at 12:05 p.m. He will preside over the 40th special assembly meeting and 13th convocation ceremony of Purvanchal University as the Chancellor. 

The Koshi State Secretariat has informed that his special speech will be held at the Koshi State Assembly at 2:30 PM. 

Security sources said that he will return to Kathmandu by helicopter at 4:30 pm.
