One person died due to electrocution in Mahalakshmi Municipality-1 Deurali of Dhankuta. Police said that 60-year-old local Sovitman Khadka was the deceased.

It is reported that he died on Saturday evening due to a current leak in the wire buried in the ground supporting the electric pole. DSP Omprakash Khanal said that he died on the spot. 

He informed that the body was found with both hands, partially face and even the clothes on the body burnt. The police reached the scene on Sunday and handed over the bond to the Laas family. Postmortem of the body has been done at the district hospital.
