Complaints that there is a problem in cooperatives because the law is not effective

Stakeholders have complained that problems are increasing in the cooperative sector due to the ineffectiveness of laws for cooperative regulation and management.

This complaint was made by the participants in the interaction between the municipal level public representatives and stakeholders organized by the Ministry of Industry, Agriculture and Cooperatives in Dhankuta. They said that the savers are facing problems if the law is not made on time . In the

interaction, Toyonath Timsina, the branch officer of the Ministry of Industry, Agriculture and Cooperatives, presenting the work paper, said that the crisis seen in the sector cannot be solved if the crisis is locked in the cooperative. He made a presentation about the condition, opportunities, challenges, future direction of the cooperative. It has been emphasized that savers and cooperative operators should be alert to manage cooperatives. 

Chairman of District Cooperative Union Dhankuta Khagendra Subedi said that the crisis has arisen after the displacement of the cooperative office which regulates, controls and provides training for cooperative organizations. Niren Tamang, head of District Coordination Committee Dhankuta, said that there is a problem in the absence of cooperative laws, education and monitoring. In the interactive program, Dhankuta Municipality's Economic Development Branch Chief Development Officer, Chairman of Allied Savings and Credit Cooperative Society JP Bhujel expressed his opinion.  In the

program, Padam Bahadur Thakurathi, head of the industry division of the Ministry of Industry, Agriculture and Cooperatives, said that the distortions and anomalies seen in the cooperatives have started to be regulated and it is about to take shape.
