Duhabi Municipality has used force to drive a dozer to remove the structure under the jurisdiction of the 6-lane road extension project after the local people blocked it. A team led by Duhabi Nagar Chief Bednarayan Gachchdar mobilized a large number of policemen and ran dozers on the structures within the road jurisdiction in the areas around the main highway. As part of the Rani-Viratnagar-Itahari-Dharan road project, the work in the main market of Duhabi was stalled, the municipality and the road project office had repeatedly issued notices asking for the structure to be removed.

Mayor Gachchdar said that since the 30-day notice issued to demolish the structure expired yesterday, the dozer had to be used from today. On Thursday, about 50 houses inside the road area were demolished using dozers. The locals, who have been trying to demolish the houses inside the road area for a long time, filed a case in the Supreme Court.

A month ago, after the writ petition filed by the locals was rejected by the court, the road department issued a notice to remove the encroached structure within 30 days. In coordination with the road department of the municipality, 7 excavators have been used to maintain a 6-6 meter setback on the right and left side of the road within the 630 meter built-up area of ​​the market area.
