Indra Bahadur Niraula, a resident of Atharai Triveni Rural Municipality-3 Kanchichok Hangpang of Taplejung, suffered a fire at his house, causing more than 800,000 damage. According to the Hongpang Police Station, a three-storey house covered with zinc sheets was destroyed by the fire that occurred on Thursday.
The police and locals speculated that the fire was caused by an electrical short. Due to the fire, the inside of the house along with the trunks, dishes, clothes and wood were burnt.
The police said that the family members went to Letang in Morang. In the absence of family members, his nephew Dinesh Niraula was taking care of the house.
