On Thursday, one person died after being attacked by a wild elephant in Haldibari Rural Municipality-4 of Jhapa.
According to District Police Office Jhapa, 76-year-old Bhim Prasad Bhattarai, who had gone to the local Viram community forest to cut grass, was attacked by an elephant.
The body of the deceased has been sent to Provincial Hospital, Bhadrapur for post-mortem. The police said that further investigation is going on regarding the incident.
