One person died when a vehicle carrying students met with an accident in Panchthar. Two people were injured.
May 1 j 3073 Balero No. 1 j 3073 was returning to Amarpur market after taking the students of Mangseva Boarding School of Hilihang rural municipality-1 Amarpur home and met with an accident near Amarpur on Wednesday evening .
35-year-old Hemraj Yogi of Hilihang-1, who was seriously injured in the accident, passed away, according to District Police Office Panchthar.
He was rescued in critical condition and taken to Panchthar Hospital for treatment. Upon reaching the hospital, the doctor declared Yogi dead.
Yogi's body has been kept at Panchthar Hospital mortuary for post-mortem. 26-year-old Binod Tamang and 20-year-old Manish Lingden of Hillihang-1 were injured in the accident.
Among them, Tamang was taken to B&C Hospital in Virtamod as his condition was serious, police said. 19-year-old Samir Khati, the driver of the Bolero, has been detained by the police.
Bolero fell down one hundred meters below the road after being uncontrolled, Deputy Superintendent of Police Kaushal Kumar Budathoki said.
