25 people were injured in a van accident in Mai municipality of Ilam. Eight of the injured are in serious condition.
From Mahamai to Danabari for the program organized by the Nepal Magar Association on the occasion of Magar Day, the van numbered Province 1-02-002C 4192 overturned near Maikhola Bridge at Paltar, District Police Office Ilam informed.
According to the police, the van overturned at half past one in the afternoon. It is estimated that the accident happened due to carrying more people than the capacity . It is understood that all of them are local to Mai-7.
Out of the 25 injured people, 24 people have been sent to a well-equipped hospital in Virtamod for further treatment after first treatment at My Hospital.
