A person who was going to Kathmandu from Biratnagar Airport was arrested by the police with illegal US dollars.
Morang police chief SP Narayan Prasad Chimaria informed that 81 notes of 100 dollars were recovered from 34-year-old Nausad Ansari of Bhokraha Narsingh Rural Municipality-5 of Sunsari.
The money was found in the coat pocket of Ansari who was going to Kathmandu on a Yeti Airlines flight around 8 pm on Friday. Ansari was detained after he failed to reveal the source of the dollars. Although he said that he had given Nepalese rupees to a friend from abroad and got the dollar, he could not disclose from which bank he had exchanged it.
Ansari, who has been living in Qatar for some time now, has said that he is going to Kathmandu because his friend's relative is sick. Police have prepared to send him to Revenue Investigation Office Itahari for further investigation and action.
