Relief has started gathering for the fire victims of Halesi Bazar. The Khotang Industry and Commerce Association has handed over 51,000 and the Khotang Natural Disaster Support Fund has handed over 40,000 in cash to the municipality.

 

 

Rajan Acharya, President of Khotang Industry and Commerce Association, said that after the decision to provide relief to the fire victims through the one-door system by depositing it into the disaster fund of the municipality, the relief was transferred to the municipality.

According to him, the Chamber of Commerce has handed over relief to Mayor Vimala Rai. "As the municipality has decided to provide relief through the one-door system, we have also handed over the relief to the municipality," said Acharya.

Similarly, Khotang Natural Disaster Support Fund also transferred 40,000 cash to the municipality for relief, said Yugsan Kirat, treasurer of the fund. The team including Bhogandra Rai, chairman of the Natural Disaster Relief Fund established by Khotang Seva Samaj Hong Kong, handed over the relief to Municipal Accounts Officer Navraj Katwal.

Similarly, the two-day service facility of the people's representatives of Halesi Tuwachung Municipality,  Halesi Tuwachung Municipality Spokesperson Kamal Giri said that two days salary of civil servants, one day of teachers and one day of contract employees will be deducted and deposited into the disaster fund of the municipality for the fire victims.
