Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Deepak Khadka has instructed the road department to speed up the physical construction of Sankhuwasabha.
Minister Khadka, who was elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Sankhuwa Sabha today, in a meeting with the team including Director General of Roads Department Ramhari Pokharel, said that the residents of Sankhuwa Sabha were suffering because of the delay in construction of roads and bridges and instructed to complete the contracted projects as soon as possible.
He took information about the condition of the much-awaited Khandbari-Kimathanka road and other roads in the district and instructed to complete the bridge and road construction work on time.
'Without the bridge, Silichong rural municipality is not Sankhuwasabha district, the people of Silichong have suffered a lot. "Proceed the construction of the bridge connecting Silichong immediately," said Minister Khadka. He said that he would discuss with the Chinese government to prevent the lack of budget in the northern region to blacken the Khandbari-Kimathanka road. In the
meeting, Pokharel, the director general of the road department, said that the department is working on the Khandbari Kimathangka road under the Kosi highway as a high priority. He informed that so far 49 km road from Khandbari to Kimathanga has been blacked out.
Director General Pokharel mentioned that the department is also working to complete the other roads and bridges of Sankhuwasabha on time. Naveenman Shrestha, North-South Project Director of Road Department and Ram Bahadur Gurung, Head of Planning of Khandbari Kimathangka road under Koshi highway of the department participated in the meeting.
