On January 28th, the President of Nepal Civil Servants Union Khotang Shambhu Tamang, the President of National Employees Organization Civilian Khotang Chitrakumar Subedi and the President of Integrated Government Employees Organization Khotang Som Prasad Acharya issued a joint statement on Friday, demanding that legal action should be taken against those involved.
Moreover, the employees working in Diktel Roopakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality have issued a joint statement and objected to the incident. The employees of Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality have demanded action against the culprits and safety of the employees' lives. A warning has also been given through the statement that if the culprits are not investigated and prosecuted, further agitation programs will be carried out.
It is mentioned in the statement that a group led by Ward member Karki and Aneraswaviyu Central Standing Committee member Rajkumar Dhakal entered the ward office with full hujjat and vandalized public property and assaulted the ward secretary Dhakal. In addition to this, Ward Secretary Homanath Dhakal said that since the local Varun Dhakal, Narendra Dhakal, Ganesh Bahadur Karki were also involved, Kitani filed a complaint.
