A young man has died after being beaten up in Ilam. According to District Police Office Ilam, 32-year-old Milan Sunuwar of Ilam Municipality-9, Golbasti has been identified as the deceased.

He was beaten by his friend around 7 pm on January 24th. DSP Man Bahadur Rai of the District Police Office informed that he was seriously injured in the beating and was immediately treated and discharged at the district hospital.

The police said that the person who beat the person is absconding and the reason for the beating is still being investigated.
