A complaint has been lodged with the police saying that a young man committed suicide because the police handcuffed him for no reason. His family lodged a complaint with the police in the evening saying that 19-year-old Ram Pariyar of Halesi Tuwachung Municipality-10 Arkhaule committed suicide on Friday morning because he was handcuffed accusing him of extortion.

In the complaint filed by Kushal Pariyar, the brother of the deceased, legal action has been demanded against 45-year-old Poshraj Karki, an assistant police inspector working at the Arkhaule area police office, and another woman for abetting suicide. Kushal said that the complaint was filed because he had mentioned in the suicide note that he was forced to commit suicide because his deceased brother had arrested him without permission and humiliated him in the society, saying he was not himself. Kushal said, "My brother committed suicide because he was handcuffed and arrested and humiliated in the village society, saying that I have done nothing wrong."

According to Inspector Sanju Karki, spokesperson of District Police Office Khotang, a 40-year-old woman lodged a complaint with the police saying that a local 17-year-old teenager had forced her. Kishore Shrestha, a member of the ward, said that the deceased's brother had filed a complaint after Susitenote showed that he was disgraced in the society.

"Yesterday, he was arrested around five o'clock and left in the care of Babu Ganga Pariyar around six o'clock in the evening. After that, he committed suicide this morning by keeping a suicide note in a suicide note saying that he was disgraced in the village society. Based on that, the brother of the deceased filed a complaint," said ward member Shrestha.

Karki said that another 17-year-old teenager was arrested on charges of forced labor. Deputy Superintendent of Police Pratik Bisht said that after the complaint, investigations are being carried out on both cases of incitement to suicide and coercion.
