Due to the closure of the organization he led, it was widely criticized after a pregnant woman suffering from labor pains had to be turned back from the middle of the road. For that reason, five people, including President Menyangwo, have resigned so that they are not even ordinary members of the organization.
On the 22nd of January, an ambulance carrying a pregnant woman was stopped when a tree blocked the road on Jorpokhari-Gopetar road section of Panchthar. A video of a woman screaming in labor in an ambulance was released.
Menyangwo shared the video on social media and expressed her anger saying, "You are all animals who can't even care about human feelings". Chumlung Pathibhara is an important component that has been protesting the construction of the cable car. Menyangwo has been leading this organization for the past 9 years.
She has said that she resigned due to her busy schedule. She mentioned in her resignation letter that she felt lucky to work for her community. Ranjit Mabo, a member of the organization, Bhupendra Mabo, coordinator of the Sirijanga rural municipality committee, Sunita Kedem, advisor of the Limbu Cultural Council of Chumlung, and Khadg Labung, chairman of the Limbu Cultural Council, are among those who resigned.
