In Khotang and Okhaldhunga, Chief District Officer Nakhatauda was beaten up by service users. After the mandatory retirement of Chief District Officer of Khotang, Shiv Kumar Karki and Chief District Officer of Okhaldhunga, Narayan Dhakal, another Chief District Officer, Nakhtawada Sevakarhi, had to be killed.
The chief district officer of Khotang, Karki, has left the district since January 15. His compulsory retirement is coming up on 26th of January. After Karki's departure, officer Hiradhan Rai is taking over the duties. Okhaldhunga Chief District Officer Dhakal has left the district since January 9. He went on compulsory leave on January 16. Anup Paudel is playing the instrument in Okhaldhunga.
In both the districts, there is no chief district officer and the service users are facing problems due to the lack of case work, important decisions and comments.
