Writer Biswasdeep Tigela, who lives in the UK, has built a playground and program stage in the school he studied at.
Bharti Secondary School located in Chhathar Jorpati-1, Dhankuta at a cost of Rs 5 lakh, expanded the playground, constructed a permanent concrete program stage building and handed it over to the school management committee on Monday. At the expense of Tigela, an iron door has been installed at the entrance of the school and a wire mesh has been installed around the playground.
Tigela and Mrs. Bhojkumari Thoklen jointly handed over the playground and stage to the chairman of the school management committee Homkumar Limbu and the principal Bhim Bahadur Limbu. The land on which the playground was built was purchased by Tigela in 2069 for 1 lakh 38 thousand rupees. The school management committee has named the playground as 'Vishwadeep Tigela Playground'. The playground and program stage building was inaugurated by Geeta Kheva, vice president of Chhathar Jorpati village municipality. Vice President Kheva expressed her gratitude to Data Tigela and assured that she will take the initiative through the municipality to organize annual sports at the playground.
In appreciation of the contribution made by Data Tigela, it was decided to name the playground as Biswasdeep Tigela Playground, said the principal of the school, Bhim Bahadur Limbu. On behalf of the school, the donor couple was honored with Dosalla Odai.
He promised to continue supporting the school in the future.
