Our Sahara Panchthar has provided educational materials to Timbu Pokhari Basic School and the students studying there.
During a program on Friday, white boards, filters, wall clocks and dustbins were provided to the students, as well as materials including pens and school bags. 7 students, 4 boys and 3 girls, are studying in that school in remote Burma of
district. There is no motor road to reach the place which is 17 kosh away from the headquarters. There are 12 houses within the service area of the
school. Where studies are taught up to class 5. Gajendra Rai, president of the supporting organization Our Sahara, said that educational materials were distributed keeping in mind the needs of the school, which is far away from the point of view of development and infrastructure.
Chairman Rai informed that the educational materials were purchased from the money collected from the Deusi played by our Sahara last Tihar.
The local parents, including Deep Bahadur Rai and Principal Dhanprasad Rai, president of the school management committee, thanked our Sahara team for supporting the educational materials.
Our Sahara is an active social organization in Panchthar district, established last October. This organization has been conducting activities such as assistance to citizens affected by natural disasters, sanitation campaigns and distribution of educational materials to schools.
