It has been revealed that 55-year-old Dhanpati Prasai of Atharai rural municipality-4 of Tehrathum was beaten up by a group of four youths and tried to kill him by setting him on fire.
The incident took place in Archale of Atharai Village-5 Chatedhunga. According to Police Inspector Pramod Khadka, Information Officer of District Police Office, Tehrathum, four people have been arrested for being involved in the beating.
Their names have not been disclosed. On Thursday evening, 55-year-old Dhanpati Prasai of Atharai rural municipality-4 Ewa Dhodeni was beaten up while returning home from a fair in Archle. They were in a group of 4 people and beat them up. But the police said that the reason for the beating has not been revealed.
According to the police, preliminary investigations have revealed that Prasai, who was badly injured after being beaten, was covered with straw, straw and firewood and set on fire. The left side of Prasai's head was burnt when he was set on fire.
The injured was rescued and brought to Pachthar Hospital on Friday. He was sent to Virta CT Hospital in Jhapa after first aid treatment.
