Morang district police office has arrested 5 people who cheated in the name of foreign employment and initiated action.
The gang that repeatedly defrauded the victim Mahesh Kumar Chaudhary and his son Yupesh Kumar Chaudhary of 66 lakh 67 thousand rupees by saying that they will be sent to Canada has been caught by the police.
It has been revealed by the police investigation that the gang cheated them by contacting them through WhatsApp from different foreign mobile numbers.
The accused arrested by the police on January 8 are 23-year-old Indian citizens Keshav Yadav and 22-year-old Rohit Kumar Paswan, 23-year-old Karan called Amit Rai, 30-year-old Buddhanarayan Malah and 25-year-old Bodhraj Rajvanshi. During the
investigation, it was revealed that the main accused, Keshav Yadav, lured other people with money by forcing them to open digital wallets like e-services, pockets and bank accounts, taking their user access and passwords.
The Morang District Court extended the deadline by 5 days and the police is conducting further investigation. The police have also requested the general public to be aware that such cases of online fraud by showing advertisements on social media and luring foreign jobs are increasing.
