The District Security Committee has given a clarification regarding the incident after the stakeholders objected to the clash that took place in the Pathibhara area on January 12th. The committee's coordinator and chief district officer Netra Prasad Sharma, through a statement, has claimed that aerial fire was fired by the security personnel as a last option for self-defense.

The district security committee has also severely criticized the obstruction created by the national service employees in carrying out their work according to the law. The agitating party has not yet left the movement.

Global IME Bank operating in Taplejung, Panchthar, Ilam, Tehrathum, Dhankuta, Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari districts have also demanded to be closed. They demand that the chief district officer of Taplejung and the chief of armed police should apologize and take action against them.
