Local Vasant Limbu has been arrested on charges of vandalizing goods of the Meringden Rural Municipality-5 Sinwa Khola hydropower project. He was arrested by the police on the charge of vandalizing the side office and staff accommodation house located near the dam site of the 9.3 MW power project.

According to Police Inspector and Information Officer Rohit Kumar Sharma Wadhai, the district court has extended the deadline of five days to investigate him under the title of criminal nuisance case. According to the police, he was drunk and broke the windows and doors of the residential house and vandalized electrical equipment, toilets, and bathroom items.
