A landslide has occurred on Sombung hill in Bhotkhola rural municipality-3 of Sankhuwasabha under Koshi highway.

The police said that the road was blocked due to a landslide that fell from above the road at around 11 o'clock on Friday. According to Police Inspector Ramkumar Lamichhane of the district police, after the landslide, the means of transport from Khandbari to Chamtang in Bhotkhola could not cross.

The dry landslide that fell from a height of about 35 meters has blocked more than 20 meters of unpaved road.

The local police team from Hatia Gola and the locals are trying to remove the landslide. The place where the landslide occurred is about 9 km away from the center of Bhotkhola Rural Municipality.

North South Koshi Road has said that they will send a dozer to repair the road section where the landslide occurred.
