The Khotang branch of Nepal Journalist Federation is going to arrange pension for journalists above 70 years of age. The meeting held on Tuesday of the Federation decided to establish a 'Journalists Pension Fund'.

Haribol Acharya, President of Nepal Journalist Federation Khotang, said that it was decided to establish a Journalists' Pension Fund with the aim of providing pensions to journalists over 70 years of age to keep active journalists in the journalism profession in the district. "It has been decided to establish a journalist's pension fund to keep the journalism profession dignified and sustainable," Acharya said.

Acharya also told that it was decided to give responsibility to three former presidents of Khotang Branch of the Journalist Federation to create procedures for the operation of the Journalist Pension Fund.
