10 point manifesto issued
The first session of the Rashtriya Dalit Journalist Association of Koshi Pradesh has formed a new committee under the leadership of Kishore Vishwakarma.
A 15-member provincial committee was formed under the chairmanship of journalist Vishwakarma from Morang at the convention held at Chhatharjorpati in Dhankuta. Anita Rasaili and Menuka Vishwakarma have been elected as vice presidents, Rakesh Nepali as secretary, Mintu Das as joint secretary and Leela Ghimire as treasurer.

On that occasion, Chhatra Subba, Chairman of Chhathar Jorpati Rural Municipality, Bharat Khadka, President of Keshi Province of Nepal Journalist Federation, Vinod Pahadi, Central Chairman of National Dalit Journalists Association, Senior Vice President Gopal Baraili, Treasurer Bhim Ghimire, Secretary General Hima Chemjong and others stressed that all should unite to end discrimination.
Koshi state president of Adivasi Janjati Journalist Federation (Fonij) Santbir Lama, president of Non-Governmental Organization Federation Dhankuta Meenprasad Subedi, president of Dalit Ekta Samaj Kopila Shankar Layat also expressed their opinion.
Koshi Pradesh's leading journalist PV Diyali and Vise Nagarchi's writer Dipendra Timalsina have been honored and felicitated. Journalists who have been ill for a long time are also central members of Diyali Sangh.
Similarly, Gopal Bareili, the senior vice president of the community elected as the central vice president of the Community Radio Broadcasters Association (AKORAO), has also been honored.
Association has also honored those elected in various districts of the Federation including Koshi Province President Bharat Khadka, General Secretary Hima Chemjong, Secretary Arvind Meheta, Provincial Member Kishore Bishwakarma, Dhankuta President Vidur Khawas.
Ten point manifesto released
The first session of the National Association of Dalit Journalists of Koshi Province has been completed by issuing a 10-point manifesto. The convention said that all the local levels of Koshi province should be Dalit-friendly when making communication policies, the participation of Dalit community journalists in the provincial council that the provincial government is going to bring, mandatory participation in the province There have been demands that Dalits should be made ministers in the Koshi state government and that the discrimination against Dalits should end. Besides, it has been demanded to make Chhatharjopati Rural Municipality a hub for agriculture and tourism.
