Two people died in a Bolero pickup accident at Pakhribas in Dhankuta. According to the police, the pick-up bearing the number 1 J 2639 met with an accident at Pakhribas Municipality-3 Joutar on Thursday night at 9:30.
District Police Spokesperson DSP Omprakash Khanal informed that both the driver and the co-driver of the pick-up were killed when it fell 150 meters from Pakhribas-Hile road.
Among those who died, the driver, 39-year-old Shukra Bahadur Tamang of Pakhribas municipality-9 Uttarpani and the co-driver Pramod Mallik of Lahan municipality-5 of Siraha district. Co-driver Mallik died on the spot. It is said that the driver Tamang was seriously injured and died while being brought to the district hospital.
Both bodies have been kept at the district hospital for post-mortem. According to the police, further investigation into the accident is underway.
