The Koshi state government has decided to form a special committee for the effective management of distressed cooperatives. In the meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Thursday, a decision was taken regarding the formation of this committee and determining its scope of work.

According to Revathiraman Bhandari, spokesperson of the state government and Minister of Internal Affairs and Law, the Council of Ministers has taken 10 important decisions including cooperative management. The meeting has given approval to submit the bill related to drinking water and sanitation to the provincial assembly.

In addition, it has been decided to submit the bills to amend the Koshi State Forest Act, 2077 and the Koshi State Environment Protection Act, 2076 to the State Assembly Secretariat.

As informed by Minister Bhandari, the meeting has approved the First Amendment Order, 2081 of the formation order of Pathibhara Area Development Committee, Brihat Barah Area Development Committee and Halesi Mahadevasthan Development Committee. Apart from this, the procedure related to the agricultural loan interest subsidy received from the Ministry of Agricultural Cooperatives has also been approved.
