An accident occurred in the Dhankuta-Hile section of the Koshi highway on Thursday afternoon. Two passengers were injured in an accident in Nigale section of Dhankuta Municipality-3.
According to the police, the car number P 2-01-001 B 0310, which was going from Tehrathum to Rajviraj in Saptari, overturned due to brake failure. Santosh Kumar Yadav and Ajay Kumar Khadga of Rajviraj Municipality-7 were injured in the accident. The injured have injuries on their arms and legs.
They have been treated at the district hospital. District Traffic Incharge Surendra Khadka informed that among the 21 passengers, the condition of others is normal.
The driver of the car, Bishnu Rajak of Saptari, is absconding after the accident, police said, and search operations are continuing.
