The work of connecting Belybridge on the Sunkoshi River at Phoksingtar, the border of Khotang and Udaipur, is going on in full swing. After the bridge was swept away by the flood on October 12th at Phoksingtar under the Sagarmatha Lokmarg, the construction of the belay bridge was started at that place.
The said Belybridge connects Khotehang Rural Municipality-9 Lichkiramche and Rautamai Rural Municipality-6 Amaptar of Udaipur. A 50-meter belay bridge will be connected at that place. Aryan Construction Multipurpose Pvt. Ltd. Udaipur Katari signed an agreement on November 28 to complete the Beilibridge construction at a cost of 1 crore 29 lakh 46 thousand 77 rupees.
Koshi Province Physical Infrastructure and Health Minister Bhupendra Rai said that the transport will be started after the work is completed within the contract period. Rai said that since the bridge was washed away before the work of the bridge was completed, they are also discussing whether to give it to the same construction company or to go for a new process. "The work will be completed on time and the transport will be operated," Minister Rai said, "The problem will be solved permanently by breaking the natural blockade of Belibridge as well as Khotang."
