The absconding defendant who was convicted in the duty killing case has been arrested after 14 years. 41-year-old Chitrakumar Rai of Halesi Tuwachung Municipality-11 Rajapani, who was sentenced to ten years in prison by the Udaipur District Court, was arrested on Sunday and sent to prison on Monday to pay the prison sentence.
According to Police Inspector Mohan Pokharel, Spokesperson of District Police Office Khotang, based on the complaint of Noor Bahadur Rayamazhi, the Udaipur District Court decided to sentence him to ten years in prison on 28 June 2067. He was arrested at home around 4.30 pm on Sunday while he was hiding and was sent to jail on Monday after being submitted to District Court Khotang.
