A 22-year-old girl who went to the morning walk in Jahda of Morang was gang-raped. Police said that the incident took place in Katahari Rural Municipality near Biratnagar Metropolitan City on Tuesday morning.
Citing the victim's statement, the police said that the girl was gang-raped by being taken to a bamboo tent, tied with hands and feet and bandaged around the mouth. She was found in a semi-conscious state and is being treated at Koshi Hospital in Biratnagar.
According to Morang police spokesperson DSP Bed Prakash Joshi, preliminary investigation has confirmed that the girl was gang-raped. He stated that the investigation of the incident has been started and the search for the identification and arrest of the culprit has been intensified.
