A young man has died after being hit by a tree. 18-year-old Shiv Pariyar of Arkhoule Dhandgaon, Halesi Tuwachung Municipality-10 died while felling a tree for firewood at a place called Bhadare in Kharpa, Rawabesi Rural Municipality-2 on Monday.
According to Kharpa Ward President Dolraj Basnet, a tree felled for firewood fell on another felled tree and that felled tree broke and hit Periyar, who died on the spot at two o'clock on Monday afternoon. Basnet said, "While felling a tree for firewood, it fell on a tree that had been cut down by a fire last year." Kulchandra Bhattarai of Tehrathum bought Uttis and Chilaun trees and felled them for the plywood industry. The Nepali died.
