Harak Sampang, the mayor of Dharan sub-metropolitan city, has sent three letters to the central government demanding action against journalists who write news against him. He sent two letters to the Ministry of Home Affairs and three letters to the Ministry of General Administration to take action against the journalists who write news against him and those who dig river products.

Through a letter on Sunday, Sampang has asked the Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar to take action against the journalists who wrote news against him. Journalist Gopal Dahal wrote a news story for the Center for Investigative Journalism under the title 'Hark Sampang's whimsical rule, Bethiti's swampland'. City chief Sampang, who became angry after the news was published, demanded the home minister to take action against Sunsari president of Journalist Federation Sunsari along with Dahal.

It has been claimed in the letter written by Sampang to the Home Minister that journalist Dahal mentioned himself in the news as a fake Maoist and collected donations. Sampang is accused of misrepresenting the news by publicists.

Sampang wrote in the letter, 'They are criminal, anti-social, demeaning and defaming the democracy itself in the name of freedom of the press in the name of press freedom by insulting and disrespecting the position of the city head elected by mandate and by insulting and disrespecting the position of the city head elected by mandate and punishing both of them according to the law. It is requested that necessary steps be taken to stop the unrestrained act and the distortion caused by it And they have also requested through a letter to take action against those who defame both positions . On Friday, the journalists of Sunsari drew the attention of the home minister who reached Dharan against the threatening expression of Sampang. After that, when the office opened on Sunday, Sampang wrote a letter to the Home Minister and demanded action against the journalists who wrote the news against him.

Sampang, who has written a second letter to the Ministry of Home Affairs on Sunday, has sent a letter demanding to take control of the smuggled vehicles that extract river products. Santosh Limbu of Dharan-5, who is also an activist of Nepali Congress, mentioned in the letter that stones were extracted and sold on government land. Sampang has alleged that since November 4th, the city police had to be deployed to the place of stone pelting and the Nepal Police did not even cooperate.

He mentioned in the statement that despite sending a letter to the district administration office Sunsari to take control of the vehicles used in excavation and transportation, the work could not be done, so he had to send a letter with information to the Ministry of Home Affairs. Both the letters sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Sampang have also informed District Administration Office Sunsari and Koshi Province Police Office Biratnagar and Area Police Office Dharan.

Sampang has requested the Ministry of General Administration through a letter to send the chief administrative officer. He said that it is difficult to work in the absence of a chief administrative officer and requested to send it immediately.
