Two people have been arrested for asking for donations by giving details. 19-year-old Ajayram Chamar and 19-year-old Jitendraram Chamar of Bara Jitpursimra sub-metropolitan city-5 were arrested.
Police inspector Mohan Pokharel, spokesperson of District Police Office Khotang, said that they were arrested while asking for donations in different places of Ainselukhark Rural Municipality with a letter asking for financial support on the letterpad of Shaheed Lakhan Rural Municipality Gorkha saying that they could not speak or hear.
Santosh Kumar Sharma and Dipendra Kumar Sharma of Shaheed Lakhan Rural Municipality-11 are mentioned in the letter. Pokharel said that the real name, surname and address were discovered during the interrogation after the arrest. Pokharel said that a case was filed against them for an offense under the Donation Act and the investigation was started on Monday in the district court with an extension of three days.
The police have recovered various documents, photos of fake patients and Rs 17,760 in cash from them.
