CPN (UML) candidate Ganga Bahadur Tamang has won in the by-election of ward president of Molung rural municipality-5 in Okhaldhunga.
According to the results of the public vote on Sunday night, Tamang won with 399 votes. According to the Office of the Chief Election Officer, his nearest rival Ghanshyam Dahal of the Nepali Congress got 177 votes. Similarly, Bishnu Prasad Pokharel of National Independent Party got 151, Man Bahadur Sunuwar of Maoist Center got 23, Chandramani Dahal of RPP got 3, Indra Bahadur Darji of Jaspa got 3.
There are 12 bad votes in that ward. In the election of 2079, UML won in that ward as well.
