The border security team of the armed police has seized iPhones worth about 9 lakhs which were being illegally imported into Nepal from India.

The armed team of Jhapa Rural Municipality-4 Panthapada recovered those iPhones on Sunday. 

The goods were found when the Indian motorcycle of Honda company with the number BR 37 Z 8101 coming from India to Nepal was checked. The Armed Police has also arrested 28-year-old Mohammad Istrafil, a motorcycle driver, residing at Kisanganj-1 Janki Chowk, Bharat Vihar. 

The recovered goods have been handed over to Mechi Customs Office.
