The colors of life and dimensions of love in 'Sanu Sathi'

What you should know

Why are there so many people in this world? How did so many different people come into existence? The only answer to this can probably be - people love themselves and their existence very much, that's why.

It is not enough for a person to be himself. Even when he is not there, he always remains in the meditation that his existence should remain in this world. This is one visible aspect, but there are many such and such invisible aspects, in making a person complete in this world.

'Sanu Saath' is a loving collection of poems dedicated to his lineage or his blood. The collection, dedicated by poet Ishwarmani Adhikari to his beloved granddaughter 'Devyanshi', contains 102 poems. This does not mean that all the poems are written only for Devyanshi.

In the animal world, all kinds of topics and feelings, from gross to subtle, concrete and abstract, surrounding human life and life, are found in poetry. The first poem of the collection is 'Home' -

For years

I am coming to disagree with the grammar teachers

They call the house a symbol of caste

I call the house a symbol of emotion .

Sir !

When you think of your home, do you think of the bricks, stones and soil of the house ?

Do you think of the furniture of the house and the way to reach the house ?

Do you think of the shape, type or any special aspect of the house ?

Do you think of it ?

The immense blessings of the father

The eternal support of the family

The warm love of the mother

And the shadow of the house ?

And your faith

The time you have lived

Your dreams

And your unwavering faith ?

This ‘Sanu Saathi’ poetry collection is a beautiful book filled with the story of the fortune of being a human being . The poet has created equally beautiful poems by expressing the many colors of love in beautiful words at every age he has experienced. Everything in this universe seems good to the poet. The poet finds not only people but also God equally dear. Not only grandchildren, sons and daughters, but also mothers and fathers and grandparents have equal meaning in his affections. He has shown sympathy in all relationships.

I write songs and they become love letters

I write poems and they become hypnosis

Stories become love stories

Love affairs become ghazals

They fade

World-famous love stories

Why does the mind melt like this

Always near you like wax... (Page 21)

In this poem titled 'In Your Name', the poet seems to be adept at presenting the best expression of dedication to love. Sometimes, when reading his poems, it seems that he is a young poet who is just entering a youth where love is just beginning to sprout in his heart! Sometimes it seems that he is a mature adult, who has already enjoyed everything.

...To even say that he remembers is a terrible disease; to say that he forgets is even more so, he is remembering. (Page 28)

---

...For a moment, forget yourself and remember love, and see, life smiles in the universe. (Page 32)

The poet must have experienced the many dimensions of love or written it in his imagination. Love is true. Love is an illusion. If love is also sorrow, he has mentioned in his poems that all the ups and downs of life revolve around love.

Not only the love between people, but also the village, society, Patipauwa, road, path, mountain, city, courtyard, river, stream, house and courtyard have written poems immersed in the fascination of everything . Although the words are ordinary, the poems do not seem ordinary, they are like the beautiful high mountains of Pokhara . Some poems even seem rebellious like the Seti River .

They do not ask others

They do not know themselves

The country is only their own

Others, they do not know

Since they have been in power,

They have erased the history of others

They have changed the story of their own free will .

They climb the stairs, forgetting their footsteps

They forget everything that needs to be remembered, they often remember what needs to be forgotten

They say that only themselves

They don't know anything else.... (Page 59)

The poet is not only lost in family love and affection, he is concerned about society, the country and the whole world. How did it happen? Why did it happen? He seems to be in search of an answer. He feels sad that things that shouldn't happen are happening and writes poems like Reflection of the Country, Big Alphabet and City.

Poems like In Your Name, In the Name of Flowers, In the Name of Manjurina, Love-Science, In the Name of Daughter, From a Different Side, Canvas of Memories, Different Things, Dream-Sketch can be said to be the highest example of love.

The poet's beautiful feelings are reflected in beautiful poems. The poet has accepted everything on this earth with love. He pours love into flowers, in June, in thorns, in the sun, in everything. He likes birth and knows how to accept death too. The poet also likes to be alone. He also likes to get lost in the crowd. The poet agrees on many things, the poet expresses dissatisfaction only on a few things through his poems.

Dear ‘Devyashi’

All the happiness of the world to you

The stars of the sky to you

The flute of the madhukar

And the horse of the wind to you

Hanging on the tail of that horse

Comes to you

And my heart caresses you

A little friend has come to a distant land

A little friend has come

I am much younger than a little friend

.... (Sanu Saathi, page 39)

‘Sanu Saathi’ is a poem written for his granddaughter Devyanshi. The poet has expressed the immense joy, supernatural joy and immense affection for his granddaughter in this poem in a very attractive way.

I am thinking –

There are many things

between you and me.

There you are

Here I am

Everything is in between.

There is only a bridge. (Page, 52)

The poet may also be a skilled librettist. The poem is neat. He has used the words carefully. He has said many things in a few words. The poems in the collection ‘Sanu Saathi’ are magical. They can captivate the reader.
