Memoirs of a Tour of Europe

Writer Bindu Subedi's book 'Europ Yatraka Samsmaran (2080) is a description of a one and a half month trip to Europe in 2018. In the book, Subedi has written travel stories of major cities in seven European countries. The main destination is Vienna, the capital of Austria, to Switzerland, Hungary, Germany, Italy, France, and Slovakia.

A woman writer who is very interested in literature and music, has a good knowledge of domestic and foreign authors and artists, is art aware. A retired banking employee, author of travel memoirs, fiction and children's literature, Bindu's book takes the reader around Europe.

References to art, literature, thought and philosophy keep appearing in Subedi's writings. She is also knowledgeable about the social, educational and political issues of that place. There are new themes in the book. Is Subedi's book Niatra Samsmaran or something else? It feels as if she herself is guiding the reader to the exact place, in subtle illustrations. She seems like a really good traveler. Every subject is observed in it with conscious awareness. This travel memoir, written in narrative style, is as fulfilling as the journey itself.

Among the capitals of the seven European countries visited by the author, she likes Budapest in Hungary the most. She says that when she remembers that place, that scene first comes to mind. That is why Budapest is called the heart of Europe. The pictures described in the writings of European writers at that time can be felt in the geography of Budapest (p. 39).'

She sometimes gets confused whether she is asleep or awake. She is confused by what she has read in books, what she heard in Sana and the reality of the journey, unable to separate the past from the present.

The memory of Berlin is exactly what happened to him. It is a pleasure to read that author's unattainable happiness in the title 'Meeting Dali in Berlin'. In his happy exclamation while taking the picture book of the artist Salvador Dali - his faith in the artist is expressed in this way, "There are some moments in life that bring such happiness that do not happen as expected. I met that happy moment on a roadside in Berlin... (p. 53).' In simple language, the topic is understood in short sentences. There is a presentation that keeps the reader interested - there is an event and a topic. The context of a particular place and the mixed form of the creator's emotions and feelings are decent. Subedi's experiences in Paris are equally memorable.

The moment she hangs out with the famous dancer, Fashionable Otley, she is proud of herself. It has become a rare coincidence. Walking in the city of Paris alone, he thinks, 'I never thought that when I reached this age of life, I would suddenly be lost in the streets of Paris without interruption like this (p. 104)' story- break Subedi goes to Notre Dame Cathedral alone the next day. In 'Memoirs of Europe Travel', the author's memories of his previous stay in Japan keep coming. A travel lover, she is very aware of whether she will miss seeing something new. He is also eager to see the famous Palace of Versailles. She had been dreaming of seeing the Palace of Versailles since Kathmandu.

Subedi's book has reached a height in terms of readership. There are various ways to gain love. One of them is the subtle vision of the creator. Another beautiful aspect of his writing is the art of giving literary expression to even the smallest and most insignificant things.

'Memoirs of a European Travel' has become a study book. The daily life of 'diasporic' Nepalis who respect art, culture, language and literature abroad is also mixed. On the same day, Nepalis gathered and celebrated Bhanu Jayanti in another hall. It is a happy thing.

The author has not yet had time to stay for one and a half months. His desire to visit new places remains. He has a deep desire to visit a classical museum or an orchestral show there. "Memoirs of a European Journey" will be of interest to the general reader. There are a lot of subjects in this book according to the interest of the reader who likes events and scenes, looking for something new, simple spontaneous rhythm and hearty style.
