A husband has died after his wife was attacked with a khukuri during a domestic dispute in Dandagaun, Madi Municipality-4, Sankhuwasabha. According to the police, Amar Bahadur Sarki, 56, a resident of Chainpur Municipality-7 and currently living in Dandagaun, Madi Municipality-4, attacked his 43-year-old wife, Phulmaya Mudel, with a khukuri around 5:30 am on Saturday.
After the incident, Amar Bahadur himself reached the area police post, Mangalbare. As soon as the information was received, a four-member police team under the command of Police Assistant Inspector Min Prasad Dahal reached the spot and made security arrangements and conducted a preliminary investigation of the spot, the police said.
The police have taken Amar Bahadur under control along with the khukuri used in the incident and have kept him at the area police post, Mangalbare, according to Kumar Prasad Mainali, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Sankhuwasabha.
An additional police team has been deployed from the Area Police Office, Chainpur, under the command of Police Inspector Parshuram Rai, to further investigate the incident and take necessary legal action.
