A woman's body was found inside a parked car in Tarkeshwar Municipality–1, Kathmandu.

According to SSP Dilip Ghimire, chief of the District Police Range, Kathmandu, the body was identified as that of 45-year-old local Rashmi Rijal, who had been missing since Friday. The family had previously filed a missing person report with the police. It was found that she had left home at 7 a.m. with her mobile phone switched off. During the search, her body was discovered inside the car on Saturday afternoon, Ghimire said.

According to police, she was found burned inside a car with registration number BA E 0410. Preliminary investigations suggest that she set the fire herself, according to officials.

She had been working at Sanima Capital Company. The body has been sent to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for post-mortem examination.
