The body of Tularam Subedi, the driver of the minibus that plunged into the Karnali River on Asar 18 in Sangetada, Chamunda Bindrasaini Municipality–7, Dailekh, was found in Achham nine days after the accident.

On Saturday morning, local resident Dipesh Bahadur Shahi informed the police after seeing a body in the water on the banks of the Karnali River at Lamgada, Jabugada, Turmakhand Rural Municipality–2, Achham. After that, a joint police team from Rahaf Police Post, Achham, Dandachhapre Police Post, and Area Police Office Babiyachaur, Surkhet, reached the incident site.

According to the police, an investigation conducted at the scene around 2:30 in the afternoon confirmed that the body was that of approximately 30-year-old Tularam Subedi, a resident of Majhigaun, Panchapuri Municipality–8, Surkhet. His identity was confirmed by his father, Dandapani Subedi.

The police stated that they have completed the necessary legal procedures at the scene and are preparing to bring the body to Surkhet for post-mortem. So far, four bodies have been found in the accident that occurred in the Sangetada area of the Karnali Highway, Chamunda Bindrasaini Municipality–7, Dailekh. A joint team of the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force is continuously searching the Karnali River for the accident vehicle and other persons who are still missing.
