Seven local levels in the Himalayan district of Dolpa have made their annual budgets public for the fiscal year 2083/84. Out of the eight local levels in the district, seven municipalities have made their budgets public, but Mudkechula Rural Municipality has not. Tripurasundari Municipality has the highest budget made public. Tripurasundari has made its budget public at Rs 588.774 and 60 paisa for the upcoming fiscal year. The municipality has stated that the public budget will be approved by the closed session of the municipal assembly. Similarly, Thuliveri Municipality has made its budget public at Rs 501.330 and 60 paisa. According to Mayor Shwarna Kumar Budha, the budget was unanimously passed by the municipal assembly on Asad 20 after presenting its policies and programs on Asad 21. Thuliveri is the first to bring its budget in the district. Kaike Rural Municipality has brought its budget at Rs 333.749 and 183.80 for the upcoming fiscal year.
Rural Municipality Chairman Angad Kumar Rana said that the budget has been prepared keeping in mind the expectations and needs of the people.
Shey-Phoksundo Rural Municipality has made public a budget of Rs 330 million 824 thousand, while Jagadulla Rural Municipality has brought a budget of Rs 300 million 2136 thousand.
Of the budget passed by the village assembly, Rs 130 million 136 thousand has been allocated for capital and Rs 170 million 776 thousand for current.
Similarly, Rs 184 million 66 thousand has been allocated for economic development, Rs 95 million 60 thousand for infrastructure development and Rs 783 million 85 thousand for social development.

Although the municipality is the best in the district to maintain good economic governance, the rural municipality has stated that the budget has decreased compared to last year due to the less grant given by the Karnali provincial government.
Dolpobuddha Rural Municipality has unveiled a budget of Rs 281.390 million and 60 paisa.
Charkatangsong Rural Municipality has presented a budget of Rs 279 million for the upcoming fiscal year.
While other local levels in the district have unveiled their budgets, Mudkechula Rural Municipality has not yet been able to unveil its budget. According to Duda Rokaya, the vice-chair of the rural municipality, the delay in unveiling the budget is due to the fact that the mother of Chairman Datta Bahadur Shahi is out of the district for treatment due to illness. She said that the budget will be unveiled after the village assembly is held within a few days.
