A fire broke out at a health post in Bagchaur Municipality-4, Pedikhola, on Monday morning at around 11.50 am. The fire broke out due to an electrical short circuit and destroyed all the materials in the health post.
All services provided by the health post have been affected after the fire. Eight batteries, three wooden drawers, two steel drawers, two stretchers, one inverter, two beds for patients, and all medicines and documents in the health post were destroyed in the fire, said Police Inspector Devraj Bhattarai, Information Officer of the District Police Office, Salyan. According to him, a police team deployed from the Area Police Office, Simkholi, is collecting more details.
Similarly, a fire broke out in a two-story thatched house of Harikala Gharti, 70, in Charpali, Kapurkot Rural Municipality-1, causing a loss of Rs 350,000 including Rs 10,000 in cash. After all the materials in the house were destroyed in the fire, the elderly woman is staying with her relatives.
